Ex- Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors report that a ex- doctor has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.
The Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One senior prosecutor said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
