Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on the Zodiac Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread enthusiasm within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to players forming firm views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
Given many of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its regular and Mega form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of treats. Several previous official descriptions note their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an constant stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite like a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
The Crab is commonly considered as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be far too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Players were captivated from the purple sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and trying to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. Being a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That gives the identical vibe as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire placement that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also extremely Aquarius. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
